A Secret Garden

If you've ever dreamt of being in a garden that seems to be set apart from the rest of the world. Where the only sound you hear is the soft humming of bees on vast beds of lavender and the soft crunch of gravel underfoot. Where a tabby cat with no name follows silkily behind you as you stroll along paths that seem to have been there for centuries, then you must be in The Walled Garden at Cowdray. http://www.walledgardencowdray.co.uk/ Only three years old, this paradise has been created within the elizabethan walls next to the ruins of Cowdray Castle. This gorgeous venue in West Sussex is fast becoming the place to hold any event, from a wedding for 400 to an intimate party for 50.

We discovered The Walled Garden recently and were delighted to provide the flowers for a summer lunch party, held in the beautifully restrained Castle Room. Taking the garden as our theme, we used the best of seasonal english flowers including, scabious, jasmine, clematis, veronica and hydrangea to create delightfully informal tab
le arrangements.
